The story starts from here...its all about the times, when television was well-thanked and treated as one of the fewer sources to entertain us.being brought up in a semi-conservative family(somewhat narrow minded, but supportive),where television was considered as an idiot box which to be worshipped as far as daily soaps, movie flicks and some regular music-oriented channels or laughter shows were concerned.thanks to the invention of the device like' remote'which facilitated switching on and off to different set of channels when they encountered a 'commercial'.every time they came across an advertisement, the 'remote' acted as a sword of convenience to find a way out and getting rid of these commercials.it was so habitual for them that it was inculcated in the children of the family In todays world, where commercials not just sell but also entertain ,they contribute largely to pull the audience back to their seats, get them involved in the story behind the message what the commercial has to pass as well as to introduce the product.
Here, importance is not of how commercials work.its all about the changing times before a couple of decades where advertisements were considered as an unwanted space occupied by the daily soap or the show or the movie for a tea break.during that time, the concept of advertisements was largely commented as a marketing of less profit making products.they considered it as the products which do not sell more needed to be 'advertised'. keeping behind the changing times and these marketing terms used here in this piece of
my article. the conclusion to be drawn is ,nowadays even housewives no more discuss about the daily soaps.even a kindergartener finds it easy to relate and recognise the commercial more than his elder brother...they dont talk about it anymore.all they do is recollect, relate, learn and enjoy!they just need a thread to start with' aaj tune ye ad dekha?' and i am sure they have better ways to explain these ads more than what they learn in school,or for that reason even a housewife who is no more wanting to be a part of any cookery show, but rather wanting to rush to a supermarket to buy and experiment with products introduced to her through commercials.the impact of these commercials have left us clueless and mum about the times when we still wandered for better stuff to be shown on television and waited for those many episodes of the daily soaps to get over! now everytime i switch on the tv,i cannot wait to use that device of 'remote' to hunt new
commercials and browse through different channels killing each daily soap or programme coming my way
