I mean a festival of colors is a such an innocent thought.. N wat we do abt it..? Mock freedom, get high, suppress our true self & pose hapiness under the veil of dreadly paints.. Those r not colors we play Holi with.. V play it wid paints..
Rituals are no more a process or steps to bring togetherness in the society. values and customs which were inculcated ages ago which gave birth to the festival of holi are now followed as a procedure in order to respect the older generation.one may not completely agree with this statement,however what needs to be changed is "ways" to take it ahead. ahead to the new generations..for them to have a wondrous insight to our culture.if cultural values are important,so is the form in which we preach them about how holi was formed and the reason behind its celebration...!
a positive thought for the backup of this festival claims the bright ,colourful face of life .
an honest blog ... and ya rituals r no more a process to bring togetherness ... rituals were always mundane steps to understand religion... too bad people just followed them rather than understanding them in a deeper sense..
