Sleep, hunger, rest and comfort were so dear to me that I ,on purpose did not hold on to my excitement to board the 1st flight to mauritius.the entire day was restless.and so the night which followed ahead too...! the -so much usual and delayed flight timing made me crazy over waiting back outside the airport for absolutely nothing..an hour prior to boarding the flight might have been more worth .since it was a first international trip,i cared.
The airport premises seemed to be restricted for the relatives or friends of the passengers to enter in.they made it convenient in a manner that they could say a 'goodbye' and greet their dear ones.it was due to security reasons as the 26th of jan (republic)was nearing.after a couple of hours of patience was over,we finally checked in.my excitement factor of 'to-the-core-' did not exist. this might have been obvious because of the disturbed sleep, the hustle and bustle, curiosity levels, enthusiasm was almost vanished.this was due to a day prior to the departure which was scheduled and dedicated for 'packing' reasons..we finally made it to the extra-superb,lavish,comfort zone of the business class travellers.'the VIP lounge'.
To mention- the ambience there was luxury oriented.followed with a thin footwalk towards the breakfast table.the peach coloured couch made it cosier ,by the time i had already started feeling nauseatic.i sipped in something termed as chinese herbal green tea.it was enormously hot.though,soothing.i was about to slaush in there!no sooner did i realise.i had a flight to board.after getting through the custom check procedure, which i would not want to discuss precisely here in this piece of my blog....we finally made it to the 'air mauritius'- islander plane!
i grabbed my seat as soon as we entered the plane.cos i knew to the fact of surrendering myself to sleep after finding my comfort zone till i reached the destination.the business class seats seemed damn comfortable and huge, different from the economy class.the seat consisted of a private and individual tv screen,an in built massager and other accessories. as it was dawned already and we were ready to take off.followed by the journey was a not up to the mark-egg omlette and tea for breakfast .i deeply and whole heartedly missed my 'chaai' clearly indicating i was going to leave my country and indian tea always made an exception wherever you travel throughout the globe.
i closed my eyes and within few seconds the plane found its track through the 'air' way.when i found myself awake, all i could see was map denoting the distance between india and mauritius and a small symbol of a plane over the map indicating hours of journey and miles travelled.just like ant- sized something is about to cross the border of india, and cut down the miles of travel above the adjoining sea entering the african continent.
after long 6-hour journey,i landed in portlouis, the capital city to mauritius.
"bonjour madame,i hope you had a safe journey!"exclaimed the air hostess and i parted ways from the airport. rushing to premises outside the airport ,i caught a taxi to drop me in the main province of port louis.
